which I think is a is a beautiful passage in light of recognition. 00:00:24.100 --> 00:00:29.960 This is baptism Sunday because baptism Sunday is all about identifying in Jesus as Jesus has given his Genesis, what you discover with Adam and Eve from the beginning, there was this war 00:00:58.020 --> 00:01:05.220 with within us, against God for this position of self autonomy, as if we want to usurp the position that God has 00:01:05.220 --> 00:01:07.400 in all of creation, especially over us. 00:01:07.400 --> 00:01:10.200 Who is this creation and declare ourselves to be God? 00:01:10.620 --> 00:01:13.210 That is not biblical, that is not godly, that is not good. 00:01:13.500 --> 00:01:15.380 You didn't create you for your purpose. 00:01:15.380 --> 00:01:17.340 God made you for His there is a there's a thought that I just have had resonated with in my mind that the man saying 00:04:34.120 --> 00:04:38.800 this sounds shocking in our culture, but I don't mean it to be maligning 00:09:29.540 will boast. 00:09:29.560 --> 00:09:36.460 So, he says in verse 18, Look, since since the religious leaders are already used to doing this with you, I'm just going to go ahead and jump on start to tell people why not why they shouldn't listen to the Apostle Paul. 00:14:00.920 --> 00:14:03.100 He's such a bad leader, why they should listen to them. 00:14:03.100 --> 00:14:10.260 They start to make argument for what makes them such great Jewish religious leaders that they need to belong to and obey the law and elevate 00:14:10.260 --> 00:14:11.310 these individuals. 00:14:11.760 --> 00:14:14.380 And Paul, he's made the case against them constantly. 00:14:14.400 --> 00:14:15.830 It starts in the Book of Galatians. 00:14:15.880 --> 00:14:21.600 That's one of the first letters the Apostle Paul writes, and it says in chapter two, verse four, religious people. 00:14:22.720 --> 00:14:24.840 They will spy out your freedom and Jesus. 00:14:25.440 --> 00:14:27.100 And they will try to enslave you. 00:14:30.660 --> 00:14:34.280 And it's all about man made boasting and pride. 00:14:36.420 --> 00:14:37.240 You do this work? 00:14:38.800 --> 00:14:45.420 So that you can look
