00:02:09.360 As we study this Psalm together, Psalm 24 has been highlighted as a psalm we have used to connect our soul 00:02:09.360 --> 00:02:10.220 to God. 00:02:11.520 --> 00:02:16.020 It's a part in the book of Psalms of what we call the messianic Psalms. 00:02:16.040 --> 00:02:21.680 Some of the most popular messianic psalms found in Scripture are Psalm 22 to 24. 00:02:22.980 --> 00:02:29.120 Speaking of Jesus's first coming, his suffering, what he is as a shepherd, and his second return for the church. 00:02:31.340 --> 00:02:33.970 When Herod's Temple was built for Israel. 00:02:34.340 --> 00:02:37.900 They sung Psalm 24 every Sabbath. 00:02:39.580 --> 00:02:45.900 The early church when they would celebrate the day of Pentecost, which was 40 days after Easter. 00:02:46.260 --> 00:02:51.920 They would sing this psalm, Psalm 24 that marks the return of Christ. 00:02:52.140 --> 00:02:58.560 The day of Pentecost was the or the day that Jesus was ascended into heaven.
