00:01:41.980 --> 00:01:49.240 If I could tell you this morning, if you're reading the Bible and you're looking for places as a believer or a new believer in Christ, that you should just know where certain passages 00:01:49.240 --> 00:01:54.400 are, this is one of those power passages within Scripture that every Christian should know about. 00:01:56.010 --> 00:01:56.640 Galatians chapter five. 00:01:57.060 --> 00:01:59.720 We're going to pick up in just a minute and in verse 16. 00:01:59.820 --> 00:02:03.590 But before I get to that, let me, let me just give you a couple thoughts. 00:02:03.820 --> 00:02:10.840 What Paul's transitioning to, the idea he carries into this thinking in chapter five is this God wants 00:02:10.840 --> 00:02:13.760 to do great things in your life. 00:02:15.860 --> 00:02:19.040 God didn't just save you and be done with you. 00:02:19.420 --> 00:02:23.040 If you're a believer in Christ, Jesus didn't come to this world, just that he could get you out of hell. 00:02:25.860 --> 00:02:28.030 God came that he may walk with you. 00:02:29.120 --> 00:02:30.100 And that you may enjoy him. 00:02:32.260 --> 00:02:37.200 We very clearly communicate within the Bible that what God is after is and not your religious living. 00:02:37.200 --> 00:02:38.360 What God's really after is your heart. 00:02:40.200 --> 00:02:41.990 Because when God gets your heart, he gets your life. 00:02:43.680 --> 00:02:50.480 Religion tells us this way that we work for God's acceptance by our religious living, and we just hope it's good enough that Jesus would accept
