indwells people to carry out specific tasks for a period of time, but the spirit would then leave. 00:08:21.320 --> 00:08:28.460 But when Jesus comes to this earth, and after Jesus has glorified, the witness his miraculous signs. 00:08:37.419 --> 00:08:41.640 But the Bible tells us in this passage of Scripture that Jesus was going to send something special. 00:08:41.679 --> 00:08:48.700 In first Corinthians 316 it goes on to say, do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in 00:08:48.700 --> 00:08:48.860 you? 00:08:50.580 --> 00:08:52.780 No longer do you need to go to a temple to worship. 00:08:52.780 --> 00:08:54.480 A God has now made you the temple. 00:08:54.500 --> 00:08:58.790 No longer does the Spirit of God dwell within the temple, but you talking about the Spirit of God being promised to his people to come dwell within his people. 00:09:47.140 --> 00:09:50.180 In the book of acts is the continuation Creation of the Gospel of Luke. 00:09:51.720 --> 00:09:59.100 Luke also wrote the Book of acts that tells us when we turn to the very first pages of the Book of Acts in chapter one and verse three, after 00:09:59.100 --> 00:10:00.860 his suffering, this is talking about Jesus. 00:10:00.940 --> 00:10:04.380 He presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. 00:10:05.000 --> 00:10:08.260 He appeared to them over a period of 40 days and spoke about the kingdom of God. 00:10:08.860 --> 00:10:16.060 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command do not leave
